The Midwest Stampede opened action against the
Cobourg Force at the AAU tournament in Orlando, FL. Gerald Muizelaar
and Tony Peeples combined on a 4 hitter with 7 k's and Ben Enoka
and Bruno Motroni homered to lead a 14 hit attack. Joe Morales and
Bobby Rosthenhausler had 2 hits apiece.

in five innings work as the Stampede defeated the Virgin Islands
in Orlando. Bruno Motroni had 2 home runs and Gregg Cascaes had

Muizelaar combined for 12 k's and the Stampede defeated Maccabai
Red in Orlando to capture the #1 seed in their pool. The Stampede
had to rally from a 3-1 deficit in the seventh inning capped by
a key Paul Walford pinch hit run scoring single. Gregg Cascaes was
2x3 with an rbi

Tony Kunka went 2x2 with
3 rbis as the Stampede defeated Elmira, Ontario at the AAU in Orlando.
Gerald Muizelaar picked up the win for Midwest with 4 k's and allowed
2 hits.

2 Bahamas Texaco Pirates 1
Sean Whitten and Rob Schweyer
matched up in a dandy this evening. Both allowed 6 hits, Whitten
had 10 k's and Schweyer had 9. With the score tied in the bottom
of the seventh with one out, Bob Rosthenhausler ripped a triple
down the right field line. Veteran, Joe Morales, hit a sac fly to
center to score Rosthenhausler. The win advanced the Stampede into
the elite 8 on Sunday.
